About the Church
At Home Church Okinawa is a Christian (Protestant) church in Teruya, Okinawa City.
We gather for worship on Sundays and for prayer on Wednesday and Friday evenings. Listening to Scripture, singing, and praying together are at the heart of these gatherings.
A church may sound like a place only for people who already believe. It does not have to be. You are welcome even if you still have questions or are still figuring out what you believe.

What does it mean that we are alive?
Is there life after death?
Where is this world heading?
Is there hope?
Is God really there?
When life is hard, how can we keep going?
Life brings many questions and problems.
The Bible contains words that help us face those questions. What is truth? Is there hope? Church can be a place to think about those questions together.
You do not need to have all the answers before you come. You are welcome to ask, listen, and talk with us.
Your first visit
It is okay if you have never been to church or never read the Bible.
You do not need to decide what you believe before you walk through the door.
Maybe you want to see what worship is like. Maybe you are curious about Christianity. Maybe you would like someone to pray with you, or you simply want to talk.
Any of those reasons are welcome. Come at your own pace.

Hello, I’m Peter Sunagawa.
At Home Church Okinawa is a church in Teruya, Okinawa City, where we continue to gather for worship and prayer.
If church is new to you, or if you have only recently become curious about the Bible or Christianity, please feel free to come.
We want to treasure the love of God and the Gospel—the good news—of Jesus Christ, and to be a church where each person can find hope and begin walking into each new day.
We would be glad to see prayer spread from Okinawa, carrying hope to Japan, Asia, and the world.
